Solfege With Me

With this free music lesson plan you will learn how I teach solfege in the classroom using Curwen hand signs which are included in the download.

Your goal is to have your students sing the solfege scale in various patterns, using only stepwise motion for the younger classes. For the older students that you teach, guide them to follow your hand signs without singing. For middle school students, skip around from one interval to another, extending to the octaves above and below.

The lesson plan is broken down by age/grade. Enjoy!
