4th and 5th Grade Sub Plan

This activity compares and contrasts different musical genres using the music of George Gershwin. As a composer, Gerwhin was influenced heavily by both classical and jazz genres. In addition, he contributed significantly to the rise of musical theater.

In this activity, students will be required to discern the different musical elements that make each genre distinct.
